Use this calculator when you already know the carton height and need a quick vertical stacking check for a pallet specification.
How to use this calculator
Enter carton height, pallet base height and the maximum allowed loaded height. Use the same measurement unit for all three values.
Formula and method
Available stacking height equals maximum loaded height minus pallet base height. Complete layers equal available stacking height divided by carton height, rounded down.
Worked example
With a 15 cm pallet base, 160 cm maximum loaded height and 25 cm cartons, 145 cm is available for cartons, so five complete layers fit and 20 cm of height remains unused.
What to check before you ship
Maximum geometric layers can still be unsafe. Check carton compression strength, stack pattern, product damage risk, pallet stability and customer or carrier height limits.
Why the result matters
Accurate dimensions and weights help with quoting, space planning and avoiding preventable adjustments. Always use the packaged outside dimensions that will actually be tendered for transport, and verify any carrier-specific rules that affect billing or classification.
