Landed cost combines more than freight. This calculator provides a transparent scenario model for goods value, freight, insurance, estimated duty, estimated import tax and other entered fees.
How to use this calculator
Enter goods value, freight, insurance, duty rate, tax rate and other landed fees. Choose the currency used consistently across the scenario.
Formula and method
The planning model uses goods plus freight plus insurance as customs value, applies the entered duty rate to that value, then applies the entered tax rate to customs value plus duty before adding other fees.
Worked example
If goods are 10,000, freight is 1,200, insurance is 100 and the entered duty and tax rates are 5 percent and 15 percent, the calculator builds the scenario step by step instead of hiding the assumptions.
What to check before you ship
Customs valuation, tariff classification, trade preferences, exemptions, VAT or sales-tax bases and fees differ by jurisdiction and product. This is not customs, legal or tax advice and should not be used as a declaration.
Why the result matters
Accurate dimensions and weights help with quoting, space planning and avoiding preventable adjustments. Always use the packaged outside dimensions that will actually be tendered for transport, and verify any carrier-specific rules that affect billing or classification.
