The master-carton calculator connects product quantity with shipping-carton planning. It is useful before pallet or container calculations when you know how many product units fit in one master carton.
How to use this calculator
Enter total product units, units per master carton, packed carton dimensions and gross weight per full carton.
Formula and method
Cartons required equal total units divided by units per carton, rounded up. Shipment CBM equals packed carton volume multiplied by the whole-carton count. Estimated gross weight equals whole-carton count multiplied by entered full-carton weight.
Worked example
One thousand units packed 24 per carton require 42 cartons because the final partial carton still needs a physical package.
What to check before you ship
The simple gross-weight estimate treats the last partial carton like a full carton. Adjust the weight manually if the partial carton will be materially lighter.
Why the result matters
Accurate dimensions and weights help with quoting, space planning and avoiding preventable adjustments. Always use the packaged outside dimensions that will actually be tendered for transport, and verify any carrier-specific rules that affect billing or classification.
